The night before Christmas

’Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Source Temple
EVERYTHING was a’stirring in the transcendental
The ornaments were hung on the tree all with care,
Secret santas still prepping their gifts to put there,
The brothers were buzzing, awake in their beds
While visions of croissants danced ‘round in their heads;
The cooks and preparers ahead of the game
were goin’ through dishes and people by name
when out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
All sprang from their beds wonderin’ what was the matter.
The animals racing, the first on the scene
Knowing far before humans ‘bout the Space Between
Brothers came running and soon all were there
Peering into the kitchen, each in silent prayer
The moon on the breasts of Pao de Azucar,
Gave the feeling of day to the motionless mar,
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
But a miniature boat and twenty four dolphin-eers,
With a tall, graceful driver so lively and bright,
They knew in a moment He must be the Christ.
More rapid than Gil his porpoises came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:
“Now, Maxi! Now, Ra! Now Simon! now Gracie!
Now Pablo! Now Terre! Now Dalia! Now, Daisy!
Now Rony! Now Raymond! Now Nacho! Now Sweety!
Now Guinnie! Now Ju! Now sweet Harmony!
Now Charles, Athena! Now Isis, Narita!
Now Mirabai, Sebas, Marie, Alicita!
To the top of the oven! to the top of the falls!
Now leap higher! leap higher! leap all the way ALL!”
Now as rainbows that brighten and shimmer in sun,
And as stars that all sparkle and shoot til they’re done
So beyond the vast heavens the dolphineers jumped
Without fuss without pause, delay or a bump!
And then, in a twinkling, the door open wide
They crossed over so eas’ly to thee other side
As they looked about them, loved ones they saw,
and felt absolute Peace, boundless love, and with awe
they looked for their Guide, the one they had followed
Up mountains, through valleys and eddies and hollows
He was dressed as a fisher, with bait and a hook
And the ultimate patience and love in his look
A fishnet of toys he had in his blue boat
That despite being loaded stayed happ’ly afloat
His eyes—how they twinkled! And His grin, how merry!
His beard was like snow, and his lips like a cherry!
All lean and all long, his big hands open wide
He blessed them in joy as he looked on with pride
He spoke not a word but turned to the net
To start to giving the gifts that were all wrapped and set
Churrasco for Maxi, Rose gardens for Grace
All–you-can-eat Krispys for Nacho, and lace
gorgeous dresses for Isis, and for Raymond Darling
a Steinway grand piano, black, classy, and charming
For Ju unlimited shopping at her favorite stores
For Mir’bai, sweet, ripe fruit orchards galore.
Teleporter for Sebas, Dawn Horse, Athena
Polished wood boat for Pablo straight from the marina
A thousand arms for Terre, endless massage for Sweety
And for Dalia silk fabrics and a trip to Tahiti
For Simon infinite special cookies and cakes
And for Ra, sardines, chicken, pepitos, and steaks
For Guin, lots of concerts with musicians of choice
And for Nara, a flying carpet of tipo Rolls-Royce
For Harmony, lush flowers of all colors and sizes
And for Charles, true peace with all that arises
Pork ribs, extra fatty, and Mamona for Daisy
And Marie, lush textiles and sessions of Reiki
And for our dear Alice, fine pens and blank checks
And for Rony, winged shoes, to say “ciao” to distress.
The netting was empty, He looked all around
checking in on each one with a Love so profound
And each knew the True Gift was one far beyond
that to which there could be a material bond
The Treasure was one given right from the Start
The unfathomable joy of the awakened Heart.
Wordless Praise on his lips for the Almighty One
He turned to the blue boat, his mission all done
And they heard him exclaim, as he steered out of sight,
“Happy Christmas to All and to All a Good Night.”
